National Youth Camp

Age Groups:
Ages 9 – 18 may attend as Campers
Ages 19 – 20 may attend as Junior Counselors
Ages 21 and older may attend as Counselors or additional helpers

You can bring a friend that is not a Member to camp! Non-Members can attend one event without being a Member. To participate in another event, he/she will need to join PFA.

Member Registration Fee - $225 for first camper in immediate family and $200 for each additional immediate family member.

Helpers Wanted!

Food Service Director (21 years or older)

The search is on for a PFA Member with experience in food preparation for a large group.

  • Maintain quality food service
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
  • Manage kitchen and mess hall operation including staff supervision, cleanliness, inventory and ordering

Food Service Assistant (18 years or older)

We are looking for two assistants to help with all aspects of the kitchen/mess hall duties.

  • Assist with all aspects of food preparation and clean up
  • Set up, serve and clean up buffet line
  • Help with all aspects of kitchen and mess hall clean up

Camp Nurse (21 or older)

We are in need of a camp nurse who will coordinate the health care of all campers and staff for the week. Keep in mind that camp is in New York.

  • Oversee camp first aid
  • Dispense medications
  • Maintain records
  • Perform related nurse duties

Coach (21 or older)

We are looking for coaches who will teach basic to advanced skills in the following sports activities: Volleyball, Soccer, Kickball, or another sport that you enjoy and would like to share with the campers.

  • Set up and break down equipment daily
  • Plan and organize age-appropriate activities
  • Supervise campers, providing a safe and fun camp environment
  • Participate in all other activities throughout the week
  • Help with other activities as requested by camp director

Counselors (21 or older)

We are looking for fun, friendly, energetic and responsible Adult Members who can provide care and direction to small groups of campers in their daily activities.

  • Oversee a group of campers as they go through their daily activities
  • Help and participate with your group in assigned daily activities
  • Oversee the group at wake-up and be sure they are ready for the day
  • Oversee the group at night and be sure they get settled and go to sleep
  • Be there for the whole week to take care of your group
  • Help with other activities as requested by camp director

Junior Counselors (19 – 20)

We are looking for fun, friendly and responsible Members to assist the Counselors in providing care and direction to a small group of campers.

  • Assist the Counselor with daily activities
  • Participate with your group in all activities
  • Help with group at wake-up and nighttime
  • Be there for whole week to take care of your group under the Counselor's guidance.
  • Help with other activities as requested by camp director
