PFA Annuities – A Sound Investment

In order to provide members with the most complete and flexible portfolio possible, the Polish Falcons offer annuity products. Annuities are cash accumulation plans with many distinct advantages over other types of savings programs or investments. They are a simple and effective way for anyone – regardless of means – to put money away for the future.

Annuity Plans
The Falcons offers several annuity plans which provide competitive earnings on a tax-deferred basis. All PFA Annuity rates are subject to change and are not guaranteed. The minimum guaranteed rate is 3%. Surrender charges may apply for early withdrawal.

New Annuity Rates as of June 1st, 2010

PFA Preferred Annuity – 4.00% Interest Rate
Minimum Initial Deposit: $2,000.
The interest rate includes 0.5% more than the Standard Annuity interest rate for the lifetime of the annuity.
The 4.0% interest rate is subject to change at any time during the term of the annuity contract and is not guaranteed.
10-Year Surrender Charge Period.

PFA Standard Annuity – 3.50% Interest Rate
Minimum Initial Deposit: $1,000.
The 3.50% interest rate is subject to change at any time during the term of the annuity contract and is not guaranteed.
6-Year Surrender Charge Period.
Bonus Feature: An additional 0.25% will be added to the interest for one year on new deposits of $5,000 or more. For existing Standard Annuities, the additional interest only applies to the newly deposited amount.

Falcon CD Annuity – 3.25% Interest Rate
Minimum Initial Deposit: $5,000.
Interest rate is locked for 5 years.
After 5 years the Standard Annuity interest rate will apply.
6-Year Surrender Charge Period.

Freedom Annuity – NA
Minimum Initial Deposit: $2,000.
Interest rate is locked for 12 months.
Surrender charge is eliminated after 12 months.
After 12 months the interest rate will be the Standard Annuity interest rate minus 1%.

Basic Annuity – 3% Interest Rate
Minimum Initial Deposit: $300.
The Basic Annuity is credited with the minimum guaranteed interest rate of 3% any time the principal account balance is less than $1,000. For principal account balances of $1,000 or more, the Standard Annuity interest rate will apply.
6-Year Surrender Charge Period.
Many of these plans can be issued as a qualified Individual Retirement Account (or as a transfer or rollover from another IRA plan or qualified retirement plan). Information on returns for annuity plans can be found by contacting National Sales Director John Denning, at 1-800-535-2071 or by e-mail.

Coverdell Education Savings Account
Minimum initial deposit: $300.
The maximum annual deposit $2,000 per child.
Qualified distributions are tax-free.**
**Annuitant may only withdraw interest earned without penalty. Surrender charge for withdrawals on the principal decreases over six years.

Roth IRA
Having an IRA with the Polish Falcons can also mean significant tax savings with the "Roth IRA." This retirement plan provides additional incentives to save, and was created as part of the Tax Relief Act of 1997.

While the "Roth IRA" does not allow tax-deductible contributions, the advantage of a Roth IRA is that it lets you withdraw money when you retire without having to pay income taxes on the amount. (Assuming the account has been in effect for at least five years and the accountant holder is older than age 59 1/2.)
